35 Weeks Tomorrow
Since I last blogged I had a doctor's appointment at 34 weeks. Everything seems to be progressing along fine. Good sugar levels, good blood pressure and baby's heartbeat is normal. But boy did I get a surprise when the doctor measured me as being 4 weeks ahead! Yes, that's right at 34 weeks I measured 38 weeks. Yikes!!! Anyway, she assured me the measurements weren't an exact science and scheduled me for an ultrasound to get a more accurate measure. I go in for my ultrasound next week on Wednesday. I'll be 36 weeks then. I see my doctor the day after the ultrasound. I've been worried about the baby being too big for some time now. He's been measuring ahead on ultrasound since he's been 6 weeks and we know exactly when he was conceived so there's no miscalculation of dates. We may just have a big baby. We'll have to see.
The doctor told me to take it easy the next couple of weeks and not to do anything that might bring on labor. I have been taking it easy, but started having false labor Friday. It was scary at first, because I thought it might be the real thing. Now that I know what it is it's not so scary.
I had my last baby shower at church yesterday. Everyone was so generous and all too eager to share their birth stories. I'll soon have my own to share! Jody took off yesterday and we went shopping with our gift cards. We got some really useful and fun things. I love the bouncer seat, now we just need to pick up some D batteries! We also joined the Publix Baby Club and received some coupons for free baby items, so we went by there as well.
The nursery is just coming together gorgeously and I can sit in there for hours in my glider staring at all the cute baby things and dreaming about what it will be like to finally have baby Will in my arms. I saw something at the baby store the other day that said it all. It was a sign that said, "You Are A Dream Come True". Of course being the emotional preggo that I am, I started crying because those words are the sentiment of my heart. This baby IS our dream come true!
